Bauerfeind ValguLoc II Splint

ValguLoc is a stabilizing orthosis engineered for the non-surgical correction and post-operative rehabilitation of hallux valgus, commonly known as a bunion. Designed to be worn at rest, it gently aligns the big toe into the correct position by exerting a mild force, thereby stretching the shortened tissues around the joint. The anatomical fit of the orthosis holds the toe along its natural axis and helps to alleviate discomfort associated with bunions. Its application is ideally suited for nighttime use, providing a corrective stretch to the big toe while you sleep. The orthosis is continuously adjustable, thanks to its Velcro fastening, allowing for the precise control of correction pressure. While ValguLoc is not designed for ambulation, its half-shell construction offers a degree of protection against contact with bedding or other objects, and the padded interior enhances comfort to prevent pressure points.
