Description

The MedSpec ASO Speed Lacer is a black lace-up ankle brace designed to support mild to moderate ankle instability, ankle sprain recovery, and active daily use. It combines figure-eight stabilizing straps with a faster pull-lace closure and is available in Canada from Medibrace with fast, tracked shipping.

Best Used For

  • Commonly used after inversion or eversion ankle sprains when brace support has been recommended.
  • Helps support the ankle during sport, work, walking, and day-to-day activity.
  • Useful for people who want lace-up style support with faster application than traditional laces.
  • Fits either the left or right foot, so no side selection is needed.

Key Features

  • Speed lace closure helps tighten the brace quickly and evenly.
  • Figure-eight stabilizing straps help support the subtalar and talocrural joints.
  • Low-profile design is intended to fit inside most athletic and everyday shoes.
  • Knitted nylon boot material is breathable and comfortable for extended wear.
  • CoolFlex Achilles padding and contoured tongue help reduce bunching around the front and back of the ankle.
  • Black colourway with six adult size options.

Size And Fit

Measure around the narrowest part of your ankle, above the ankle bones. Use shoe size only as a secondary guide. If you are between sizes, choose based on ankle circumference first and make sure the brace can be tightened without pinching.

How To Wear And Care

  1. Open the hook-and-loop closures and place your socked foot into the boot portion.
  2. Pull both speed-lace closures in opposite directions and secure them to the sides of the brace.
  3. Wrap each stabilizing strap across the top of the foot, under the heel, and back to the side of the brace.
  4. Pull the stabilizing straps firmly upward, then secure the elastic cuff over the laces and straps.

For care, fasten all closures before washing. Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not bleach.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MedSpec ASO Speed Lacer best used for?

It is commonly chosen for ankle sprain recovery, mild to moderate ankle instability, and activity where a low-profile lace-up brace is preferred. It helps support the ankle while still fitting into most shoes.

Does this brace fit the left or right ankle?

Yes. The ASO Speed Lacer is bilateral, so the same brace fits either the left or right foot.

How is the Speed Lacer different from a regular lace-up ankle brace?

The speed lace closure lets you tighten the brace with pull tabs instead of tying traditional laces. That makes it faster to apply while keeping the familiar figure-eight strap support.

How do I choose my size?

Measure your ankle circumference and match it to the size chart. Shoe size can help as a secondary guide, but ankle circumference should be the main fit reference.

Can I wear it during sport?

Many customers choose lace-up ankle braces for sport and active use. Make sure the brace fits securely inside your shoe and follow your clinician's guidance if you are returning after an injury.
